do most truckers peek at other truckers cabs when passing them?

A few post I have noticed talked about truckers waving at each other. I am just not sure as to the proper etiquette. When a truck passes me, I usually try to wave because from what I have seen on the forum or heard waving seems or other truckers not waving seems to be a concern as to the lack of following established trucker rules this puts the asumption that most truckers try to look inside other truckers cabs when passing or being passed. I however almost never look inside there cab to see if they wave at me or whatever. Always thought it kind of rude, and a bit homo-ish trying to peek at which will probably be another feller. I also try to park offset from truckers just a bit farther back or a bit ahead so my windows don't line up with the trucker who sits next to me, giving both trucks a bit more privacy.

My question is, is it proper etiquette to try to look into other trucks or at the driver of other trucks when on the road? When parked?

It is not gay to look over at a man. You have to want more than a smile back for that...

If you look over at me and wave, even smile, I promise not to knock on your door at 2am asking if you want company! I'll just wave back.

    OK PM,
just want you to know I'm not following you around in these posts but have to agree with you on this one LOL!!!

Man, I think you're putting way to much thought into how you park at a truckstop or rest area and as far as looking over at another driver....

Hell, there isn't much to do while you're driving all those miles, LOOK!!!! You might get lucky and it be some HOT seat cover instead of that goodbuddy you seem so affraid of.... :)

Waive, smile and if you feel uncomfortable with that they PLEASE at least signal them over with flashing your headlights (in the daytime ONLY plz) and a quick shutting them off at night....nothing worse then getting blinded at night while looking in that BIG west coast mirror by another trucker trying to be courteous. OH, and also, at least flick that little switch that says INTERRUPT in some really crazy succession when you are the one being let back into a lane by another professional and courteous driver :)

I may or may not look at a driver as I'm passing by them. If we're on a curve, I tend to focus more on that. If I'm passing by you after you've done something to piss me off, then I glare at you, which is usually my only recourse since whoever pissed me off is almost guaranteed never to have their CB on (though you really can't blame anyone for that anymore).

Oh, and adding to the above... if you end up with daytime running lights, and get passed at night, it's really not necessary for you to flash your high beams as a substitute to cutting your lights off. In fact, it would be much better if you didn't. Covenant drivers seem to do that a lot. Most of us passing you have been doing this long enough to know where our trailer is, and flashing high beams affects drivers of trucks the same way it does to anyone driving a four wheeler.

I wave but frankly I keep my eyes on the road. I'm just a bit nervous whoever is passing me might hit me.

*note I said whoever is passing me......I'm with Swift*

I always wave, i dont always look over. But i'd say 95% of the time when I do look over they wave back. I dont know if its something we'r suposed to do or not, but I like it, just like flashing your lights, it makes the road a slightly freindlier place. We are all on the same team out here, just with differant colored trucks lol

I hear that dang "I aint got no panties on" all the time, wonder where that ever came from or how it got started anyway? This one night I kept hearing it over and over again on the cb, and there was only this one truck that I could see a way behind me, so finally I pulled over to confront the truck in the next town we came to because he wouldn't say anything else to me on the radio, but of course he just flew on by...

That really gets kinda old/annoying after awhile!
