    I just found this out but I haven't been there yet. I wonder if they took out the dinosaurs? Another unique place gone.

    I think it was a Shell. There were some dinosaur statues scattered around. A lot of kitchsy items for sale in front for the tourists.

    It was Holts Shell , first i heard about Pilot , it used to be spotless guy used to mop gas island.
    Stayed a few times next door at the hotel , nice outdoor pool and beer at the Shell.

    We drive that way couple times a month to go see our daughter, grandson and SIL. Both in the Navy and stationed at Coranado.

    That Pilot was a Sinclair. Now it is nasty and all that you would expect from a Pilot.

    Hell, the trash cans are always over filled and the parking lot looks like a garbage truck decided to dump his load there.
