Hello guys, I mostly run local loads, but this time I took a 150 Mile run, and when I got to the job site, my rear Diff was dribbling oil from the breather, and it was really hot to the touch.
some details:
It was low on oil, but I was not empty. Other truckers that pulled over to help me, said I might have got the power divider stuck ( I engaged it when I climbed on from the shoulder to the road, but I released it once I was on the road) So I ran the risk and brought it back home, it didnt appear to leak, and the Diff was warm. The middle one was seeping some oil from the breather as well but not like the rear.
Has anyone had an Issue with this?
Differentials leaking from breather?

It sound like it was over filled and they will be hot to the touch even under normal opperation. The front rear will usually run about 20 degrees hotter than the rear rear. My truck run about 140 on the front and 120 on the rear. 140 is about the max temp you can touch with your hand.thesvg Thanks this.
