Alright, if there is a prize for a DUMB question, I hope this qualifies:
Is there any place that can compare/identify the different KW W900 models?
For example:
W900A
W900B
W900L
W900S
..and how can you tell which one you have?
I have found this info so far:
-The W900S and the W900B have a 120" BBC.
-The W900L has a 130" BBC.
-The W900B Model was introduced in 1982, and the early ones had some carryover interior parts from the W900A.
-The W900B had a newly designed and bigger cab,and different hood with square headlights and different grille, but used the same doors as the W900A, but with a better door seal.
-The W900S comes standard with a 950 square-inch radiator and a different steering gear arrangement than the W900B and W900L for sharper steering.
-The W900B and W900L come standard with a 1250 square-inch radiator and a 30" set-forward front axle.
Different types of W900s ?

and you won't see very many of them, but there is or was a T800 model that had a square hood like a W900, but still had the set back axle. I used to see an outfit out of Weatherford TX ran them.

truck paper for pics, maybe kw's website for dimensions.

i was just thinking about this about an hour ago---(apparently a part of me does like KW, even though i'm a freightliner man........)
i think they only offer w-900B, normal hood and w-900L which is the long hood---L stands for long i guess.
The L has the long narrow hood with the skinnier grill which i don't like, the 900B has the wider grill/wider shorter hood which i feel is better for trucking.
There is a construction model----W900S. This has a sloped hood and setforward axle; This may be the T-800 looking truck that everyone is talking about?
i think they stopped selling the A model in 1982?
2) How many trucks do you have? -
P.S. The freightliner classic actually has a longer bbc at 132" , so there.

Ok guys go easy I have the T800H,(H) for high hood which it use the W900B hood with setback axle using the fenders of the regular T800.
The T800S (S) for short hood 113 bbc.
The T800W (W) for wide hood.
But I've seen very few T800 with the hood of a W900L with the set back axle and skinny nose.
And there is T800 A and B that's where I really get confused, I guess the T800A is the regular slanted original hood from the late 80's and the which I have seen on some late models. T800B is the slanted hood but modern sharper angles hood.
The W900B is the 120 BBC original hood that is also seen in some late models too.
The W900S is a slanted hood but set forward axle
The W900L is the long hood but there is two different hoods on this truck, I have two friends with this two different trucks and when we park side by side you can see the difference one will have a narrower nose than the other, but still the other wider hood is not as wide as my hood which is the same with of the (W900B I used to have one) and still around, so we have been able to compare hoods, I think the longer narrower hood is W900XL.
It is confusing specially when you think you've seen it all and then you go to a dealer and see several T800H but extra long and narrow hood which to me will be easier to say W900XL set back axle, like my truck people think it's a W900B set back axle, but is actually a T800H.
So in conclusion what makes the model is not the hood but the fender style or axle position. -
T means set back axle
W means set forward axle
B just means the new cab (i.e. not a wood floor
The other are just variations of the hood. For example the T8:
-S, slopped hood
-H, high hood
-SH, short hood
-W, wide hood
