Did they do a background check or don't care?

I know someone who went to cr england trucking school in they had a felony but didn't disclose it on the application and yet they finish school and now working from them (roughly 2 months). So my question is if you don't say nothing they won't check your background? I'm thinking about going to cr england to get my cdl but i have a felony from 2006 n that's it, never went to jail only probation. Working on getting it expunged. Clean driving record...His was from 2005 n he got one from 1999 or 2000 I think

Does'nt matter if you put the felony on your app or not, crengland will look it up.Every company does. That other person with a felony was minor otherwise england would'nt have hired him.

About the time they need him for Hazmat certiufication, he'll be gone.

You'd better disclose everything up front, if you lie, you're gone.

Sooner or later he will be fired. If you go to a private CDL school, there are a few companies that will hire felons. These companies don't have their own schools, but will hire you, once you complete a school.

with that on his record he will get fired im willing to bet. and if you got a felony too for somthing along those lines dont even try to get a job. Lots of companys look down on that BIG TIME. they got to trust who they put in there trucks. Plus i have no respect for people that steal things.

If felons could not drive trucks trucking would be a high paying job because not many people would be qualified. As we speak any given truck stop has more ex cons in rigs on it than the local jail. It's easy to get a job as a felon in trucking, just look at their policies. You can get a TWIC and HAZMAT, just look at their policies as well. It's a myth that you are done for with a record, yeah you're not going to be a cop but you can truck all night long. Also companies do "cheap" background checks. They aren't doing FBI level searches by any means. They just search counties you lived in. So if you lived in XYZ county and had a record there they will search that and find it. If you lived in XYZ county with a girl and don't list it, they won't search that county and won't find your record.

I would say they either haven't gotten the criminal history back yet or your friend had his record expunged or they just might not care about criminal history. They do check and when they find out he lied, he's probably going to get fired. Either way it goes, it is best to put it on there.
