As the title says- Im trying to find a diagnostic tool/software for series 60. I dont expect it to be cheap but not crazy expensive either. Anyone has any experience buying such tools? Care to point me in the right direction?
Thank You

Depends on model of truck peterbilt, kenworth don't at least the ones I work on and he's Probly got an older truck with a standard dash

yep, it is style of Paccar, DAF for example reads - Engine WARNING ore ECAS WARNING and no fault codes on display.
But all modern Mack, Renault, MAN, Volvo, Iveco, Mercedes, Freightliner, International, Sisu... all display codes, some code only, some description and freeze frames -
That looks like a good deal- the link you posted! -
columbia reads codes in MID XXX SID/PID FMI standard
MID 128 - engine ECU
MID 130 - tranny
MID 136 - brake system
MID 140 - dashboard
MID 144 - VECU

It works pretty good I mean it dosent let you do any tests or anything but it gives you the code and description of the fault a lot easier then pulling the laptop pricesout I think you can get it cheaper by shopping around its made by otc and both cornwell tools and matco tools sell it so I would defintly compare
