When I had a S60 I went thru 4 air compressors. They were not the best design at the time. They wear out and pump oil into air lines. Or the head gasket on air compressor would go leak and pump engine oil into air lines.

602,000 is not a lot of miles on S60. Mine went to 1.3 million before rebuild. Maybe the air compressor failed inside

Their is a sensor for air pressure from the turbo on the intake manifold. I had it go bad and without that correct reading the computers won't fuel the engine, even if turbo is working correctly.

It hard to believe at 602,000 it would need a rebuild. If you did don't forget about the Bull Gear or check it. It's in the front cover for all the gears. They can get lose and take out the engine. It's the timing gear. I never had mine go out. I even rebuild engine at 1.3 million and never replaced it

Something doesn’t add up. You must have very high oil pressure to be pushing oil out of breather. Dino test waste of money. Might even blow engine up. Somethings causing excessive crankcase pressure not just blow by ( piston rings). Maybe oil filter plugged or an injector is leaking.? Are you sure it’s not more diesel than oil coming out? A bad injector will leak into valve cover and add to oil level.

I changed oil and filters less than 500 miles ago. The oil level is going down and doesn't seem to have diesel in it. When the truck is idling after driving for a bit you can see some smoke coming from the breather but it doesn't look like it's being pushed out under a lot of pressure. Its just kinda flowing out. Truck doesn't lose any oil when I'm not loaded. Only when loaded.

It’s probably the Turbo. I’m only guessing of course check this link out. A manometer can be home made. Rawze has a video on utube

I thought 04 had an egr and vent tube wasn’t open but recruited through exhaust.

I’m not familiar with that set up . Still waiting for the real mechanics to show up on this thread

I think I'll try and check the air compressor and turbo tomorrow. We'll see what happens I guess

Compressor is easy just disconnect stainless steel discharge line. Turbo easy too disconnect drain tube let oil drain into container. But don’t run too long and lose all your oil. A homemade Manometer just a clear tube looped with water in loop hooked up to dipstick with vent tube capped. Run Truck each way and compare water level pushed up tube by the pressure.
