Anyone know if the Detroit Passmart can be detected by the hand held readers the Ontario MTO uses to check speed limiters on the trucks?

You need DDRS software to do this programming, ore DDDL. But you should know ECM password, it is usually 0000 ore 1234, but sometimes you dont know ECM password and the only way - use factory password. I can pull password out from DEEC-IV /V but I need an ECM on my desk)

not at all what I was asking lol. I just want to know if I set a truck up for 5mph more through passmart if the speed limiter readers will be able to see that or just that the truck is set at 65mph

yeah, some HHR (HHT) may read parameters, some of them may change.

JalTest does it, JPro HHR does it, Texa does it, OTS does it. If you have Mercedes Engine - old HHT ore newer Mini Diag do it too.

Everething depend on what licensie key is used with reader.

i am not sure but i would imagine they can check--if not you could just have your truck set at 65--but your tap to pass set at 80 with unlimited time

If you have an 18 speed, get that gear set at 65. Leave the other gear setting alone.

If you want to get more than 65, shift down into 17th and walk on it. Get your top RPMs set to say 2300.

Assuming that you have 3.70 rears and 1100x24.5 tires Let's say that the tires are 43 inches high.
    To calculate tire RPM's, 43" X 3.14 = 135.02 inches in circumfrence. One mile = 5280 feet X 12 inches = 63,360 inches /135.02 = 469.26 revs per mile.

Now let's say you want to drive 75 MPH.

    75 MPH X 3.70 Rears X .85 (17th gear ratio) X 469.26 tire RPM's = 110689.05 divided by 60 = 1844.82 (1845) RPMS.

    65 MPH would equal 1598.85 (1600 RPM's in 17th gear.

    65 MPH on 18th gear (.73 ratio) would be 1373 RPM's.

Doesn't matter what gear your in, it still doesn't allow you to go over 65mph.

Getting the speed set up is always posible, 9999 is standard password. but if you get caught they will not be happy and if you go to fast between scales they will be upset and if they become upset they will confiscate your truck and after a while look to see what the problem could be, they can charge you for storage and getting the ECM down loaded. They, especially in Canada are exempt from the law, and really enjoy spending your money, and watching you squirm.

don't need the password to the ecm. I have full access to change any of the parameters. I could put all the trucks wide open if I wanted to, but I don't. I was simply just asking if anyone knew if the MTO could detect if you had added additional mph to the passmart then just the standard speed parameters
