    I want to hear what other drivers who have this transmission think about it. The first thing I am curious about is this. Does Schneider order these transmissions so you can only use economy mode? Performance and manual modes do not work on mine.

    I'm coming on board and was trying to decide which transmission to choose. I'm after the best mpg that I can get. I prefer the 10 speed but they claim better revoking with the auto. If they are going to limit the settings you mentioned I'll have to consider that also

    I'm an IC, have the DT12, manual mode works just fine, no performance mode, but don't really seem to miss it.
    Overall I'm really glad I waited to get this truck, very pleased with the DT12.

    Can you actually switch to manual mode so you must change gears yourself, or can you just upshift and downshift while in auto economy mode? Basically does the little button on the end of your shifter marked A and M actually do anything when you push it in?
