    Hello,
    I have a 2013 freightliner cascadia with 13 speeds,455 hp,3.25 axle ratio,wheel base i think 240.
I have seen freightliners pull 2 axles rgn but very rare 3 axles rgn.
My friend has the Same specs on 2005 peterbilt 567, pulls 3 axles and 70 000 lbs with it and I was wondering if my detorit can do the same job ?

    jamespmack Thanks this.

The Detroit can. I do however, have doubts on whether the rest of the truck is up for it. The Pete is probably specced for it with heavier frame, heavier rear axles, heavier suspension etc.

The truck and engine are fine. It's the 13 speed and 3:25 rears that's the killer.

It would be fine on flat land hwy hauling but forget about it if you have to go off road or in hilly terrain.

Heavy haul I'd want 3.73-4.56 range rears.... Depending how heavy !! Lol

The Detroit will do it... Idk about the rest especially the frame

I agree on the rear, but what’s wrong with a 13 speed? :?

Nothing really wrong with but if you've ever hauled heavy on steep hills you would agree that an 18 speed is soooooo much nicer . Not being able to split the low side is a real pain.
