Ok I know this is stupid but I am just not sure where it is, and my question really is, can it be cleaned?? or no way?? I know mine is on it's way or already gone, my symptoms are, and this is only when the outside temperature is below about 35 degrees, I will get a check engine lite around 1650 the second you let it fall below it goes out, but if it is warm out it does not happen, from what I have read it sounds like an egr on its way out, but if someone out there has a different idea let me know, I am under warranty but, I am pressed for time too, due to a job change, they will be giving the tractor a federal but this issue wont come up in that inspection, if I am correct.
    Thanks

This doesnt really help your immediate concerns but Justus Built sells a Tuner for the EGR that eliminates the use of the EGR all together and will increase the performance of the motor and increase fuel economy. Since the use of the EGR isnt really being used this might help your problem but maybe not contact Jeff from Justus Built he is really helpful and knowledgeable about the EGR system. Good Luck

I have a friend that has one of those tuners . He said it doesnt work. i replaced it with a tuner I build and he is completly satisfied. More power less fuel This will turn off the EGR system like pre EGR. no need to replace an EGR valve.

Cleaning the egr valve does not always work. Most of the time the egr has galled shafts. The best way to deal with a sticking egr is either replace it or delete it in the ecm.

I put an egr tuner on my 2005 and have no measurable increase in fuel mileage. I'm not that impressed with the product or the support. The installation instructions are really poorly written and when I called to try to get a part number for the sensor plug they were no help at all.

I wish I had saved my money & talked to Rebel or Serious Series 60's for a proper egr delete.

    rebel127 Thanks this.
