Hello
I got 1997 w900 with Detroit. Have to do the inframe rebuild. Called to freightliner to order rebuild kit they told 24 days backorder. One of my friends did rebuild on his series 60 and order them from dealer he told some part made in China especially liners. And on his second truck he use IPD rebuild kit and have no problem with it for 180k miles already .
I've called about IPD kit today and they don't make them for old Detroit 12.7 like mine(1996). Reason is different rod connection to piston. but they told AFA INDUSTRIES kits are good also .
Anybody use the AFA KITS or at least know something about them?
Also may be I can use kit for newer 12.7 model?
Both of them have 2 years warranty.
Any suggestions will help
Thanks
