Never heard of them… I would look to pai myself. We have used lots of their kits and have no complaints.

What’s the cause of the oil consumption.
The only warranty related problem I have ever had with them was replacing a set of bearings that were damaged in shipping.
I had a crankshaft seal on a m11 fail and they replaced it and chipped in on the labor. Other than that I have built dozens of engines with their stuff and several have made 1 million plus.
interstate mcbee has also been great.
Avoid reliance like the plague…their gaskets are probably made of pressed #### and will leak regardless of installation technique.

wore out, D.Tibbitt and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Looks like rings are weak I'm dropping oil out of blowby tube alot if it idles for 30 minutes there a big puddle underneath tube no restrictions also blowby is really bad

I just wandered if you had opened it up to look. From past experience I would expect something like a broken piston top or maybe an injector problem trashed a liner based on how bad you say it is and how it’s fairly new. Not trying to say it is or isn’t pais fault. How fast did the problem develop

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

It started developing few months ago also consuming water mechanic will be opening it up tomorrow see what is going on but he told me more than likely piston rings worn out or dropped liner

Might want to look at Mahle kits, also FP DieseI ( Federal Mogul) kits. I suggest M&D distributors. Both are good quality at a good price. Did mine with the FP. 135k now. Little bit of blow by, but I idle a lot. I know a few who used the Mahle. That was my first choice, based on their rebuilds. They were 2 mos back ordered at the time. They were in the process of buying Clevite bearing. So now their kits all have Clevite bearings, couple that with the fact they make the original OEM pistons for Detroit. Both are top notch manufacturers that have been around longer than Detroit Diesel.

Yes, glazes the cylinders, they say. Change oil, running it hard, supposedly helps reverse it. I’ve tried that in the past. Seems to help. It’s hard to tell. The 12.7 just have more blow by than other engines. No one seems to know why. My last Truck didn’t have any for about 5 mos. after an inframe using all OEM parts, but it started doing it after that. Current Truck had it real bad. It had well over 1 million miles on an oem inframe. It would come and go, depending on weather conditions, like humidity. Maybe just more noticeable. I expected to find a cracked ring. The valve guides were shot. I suspect that’s what caused the excessive blow by. Anyways it’s always worse when oil is old. Better after its changed. They’ll run a long time with blow by. Till the head gasket blows, maybe a cylinder drops. The bearings will hold up, almost never spin a bearing. What year is the engine?
