I have a 2006 14 liter Detroit and the sensor mounted on top of the thermostat housing, I do believe is called a Delta p sensor has oil coming out of it. This problem started yesterday, but I also had a intercooler hose clamp pop off Friday. Don't know if the two are related but there definitely oil coming out of this sensor, anyone ever seen this before?

Oil can get in there from the egr valve leaking internally.
The egr is engine oil pressure actuated.

egr possible or the oil is coming off the blow by tube behind it or could just be from blowing that clamp off

could be from blowing that clamp some times when you unload the turbo that fast oil comes past the seals

The EGR valve was leaking internally to the EGR cooler, the only running problem I had was the truck was putting out black smoke .replaced EGR valve and Delta p sensor, test driving now.

My 14 Ltr Detroit, 2007, is experiencing high coolant temps . On idle the coolant rises above 215 degrees, and power on the road is poor.
After morning start up, its embarrassing how poor the power is, and how rapidly the coolant temps climb.
The local Detroit shop changed my turbo, performed a full tune up, I changed all filters, but the Detroit shop now says a new set of injectors will do me good, but say it's no guarantee it will solve my problems, so I'm opting out of the injector swap out.
Personally, I think its VPOD related, but they dont think so.
After 6-7 hours driving, power increases but not by much. My exhaust temperatures dont exceed 698 degrees, another reason I'm thinking VPOD, but I don't know for sure.
38 year's trucking, and this is all new to me, so I need someone's input and support on my issues.
    Can anyone offer any input..please.
    Great thanks.

Do you have a boost gauge?
If so what kind of boost readings are you getting?
At idle is the turbo actuator arm pushed all the way up against the stop?
Does the engine have the signature hiss sound they are noted for at idle ? ( like a potato up the tail pipe)

It may be a dumb question, but is your fan running at an idle, like it should. They’ll get hot at an idle in summertime.
