I deliver at the publix warehouse in Miami today. Being unloaded right now.

My questions are. Where can I park since every single truck stop is full.

How long does it take to get loads out of Miami leaving Florida

I have home time in Dallas on Thursday. What's the probability of me getting there on time being in Miami st the moment

Dallas is like three days on 10 then work your way up on your choice of roads probably 10 to I-49 then 20 in. Roughly 1400 miles maybe.

Miami is a taker in terms of freight. All the rich people down there ordering stuff. Along with the cruise ships taking on food etc.

Many places in Fla ships to texas. Getting to Dallas by Thurs is something that will be up in the air until you are finished delivery in texas. Might be friday or sat before you get done.

It's been a while since I was in Miami. However I always had good luck parking up US 27 a ways past where it crosses I 75. 10 bucks to park. Watch out for the Gators. <<not kidding!

Might have to go way out to I-75 in the everglades. Really nice rest area not too far out there. Great place for a walk

    You’re basically screwed for parking..

Here are your options based on my many years of running LTL Florida..

    1) run up 27 to Weston there is s pay to park truck stop you *might* get into....Cafe 27 is an outdoor tiki bar with 1st rate food but it’s expensive like everything down there.
    2) 595 truck stop in Davie pay to park good food but expensive...Might be full on the weekends hard to say.
    3) Pompano Beach produce market...Should have parking and the diner out front is really good but expensive.
    4) there is a small fuel stop in Pompano Beach but it’s probably full for the weekend and you’ll get knocks on the door all night.
It’s right off the the pike can’t remember the exit number off hand.
    5) bounce all the way up to Fort Pierce
    6) find a service plaza on the pike.

As for getting out of Miami good luck finding anything that pays unless you know some people.
You’ll probably head north up out of there empty would be my guess.

These are just some random thoughts off the top of my head you’ll have to prioritize them in regards to your needs and what is closest.

Keep yer doors locked and good luck.

I have a driver who lives down in Ocala, he will deliver in Miami and if he is lucky (one in twenty trips) he will get something out, otherwise he DHs up to Ocala for a few days and gets something out of Jacksonville.

Are you pulling a reefer? I once got a backhaul out of Groves, which is south of Miami where they have a ton of plantations that grow tropical plants, trees, and cacti, and the load had to be kept at 60 in the summer. Unfortunately, it's probably a little early in the year for that stuff. 13 stops to Lowes stores, hand tailgating every individual plant was a joy! Everyone should experience it at least once.

    Yeah, nevermind. Deadhead North.

I took a load of sparkling water from a warehouse run by Cubans who barely spoke English from Miami to a Pepsi DC in Atlanta.
