How much does it usually cost?
I was in Gary IN and one place said $200 to clean DEF.

I thought it was more expensive than that.
For this much money do they just blow air through it or theyre actually baking it and blowing out ashes.

DPF filter. Ad was $200 to clean DPF filter, so I thought it was more expensive than that.

That's cheap but it may not include gasket or new clamps. The cheapest I have seen it in California was 499 plus gaskets.

Shop replaced DPF filter on my truck last year and it was$1500.
I asked how much would be to clean it and was told about as much as replacing it.

I have no dog in this hunt, as my truck has neither DEF or DPF (or EGR for that matter), but it would seem that there ought to be a market for replacing a current DPF filter with one that was removed, cleaned, inspected, and certified from another vehicle. Kind of a "reman" kind of exchange deal. It might save some cost over a totally new replacement filter.

I remember seeing a Volvo ad for this exact service but not sure if it ever worked.
