So I’ve pretty much accepted this job but was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I’m a fairly new driver and I’m having some regrets with taking this job after reading some stuff online

I know nothing about crst but do know times are slow right now and as a new driver steady work would be hard to find. If they keep you moving avoid the politics and put some safe miles under your belt . PS I’ve had 3 jobs where everyone said I’d never work for those guys and all were fine at those points in my career.

As long as you're being treated fairly, paid on time, and aren't being lied to about the job, you're better off than more than 60% of the people in Corporate America.ducnut Thanks this. -

CRST has there fingers in a lot of baskets, take it if you don't care for it simply transfer to a different fleet.

Well, I don't know your experience but Tyson foods is also looking for drivers they really don't pay much for sitting for waiting at the shippers ie their property. The real benefit aside from decent cpm pay is they allow you park on their property. I have heard certain companies hauling for them one specific KLLM could stay on the property do a 10-hour break. But a lot the places don't have the room they ones I get sent are middle of nowhere and parking was small. CRST I have met a few their drivers and they said they hated it they said they would stay long enough for another opportunity.
I'm not sure but I think CRST is one the companies Chinatown doesn't even recommend he has a few again I am not certain. That said some have mention others may have different experience. That only applies if they have decent policies and or you know what your getting into if we talked They said here's a job pays well but you must drive till we tell you to stop and we will give you .18 cpm and have a strong accent people would assume its from Chicago land... you would get that one guy saying he could make it work and maybe a month or two later come to the forums saying how bad it was when everyone warned him.... -
My son drove for CRST and liked it ok, he did a lot of dedicated CAT work, but also made trip to Pennsylvania , I dont know what he picked up in in Pennsylvania but he liked the run, now runs Hazmat Chemicals for a water treatment company.
