Need to deliver Thursday AM off exit 205 on I-70. Not real familiar with area. I’ve heard horror stories about Denver truck stop. On my own I just find a hidey hole and tuck in but the Mrs. is on the truck with me this week so I need something with decent facilities. Coming in out of Nebraska and ETA to Denver metro area is about 1200 local time. Any suggestions or warnings? Thanks
Decent place to layover near Denver

Used to stay here weekly when I ran New England to Denver. Spent a week there once actually also Christmas to New Years. Wasn’t a bad joint and all, park in the dead end, or it was quiet enough you could fit in the lot, I was driving a 379 with a 53’ reefer at the time. Across Quebec is a huge outdoor world, or bass pro I forget and a bunch of restaurants. Plenty to do within walking distance. I recommend it. Then again it’s been 10 years since I been there. Google newer reviews to be safe

There is an Amazon Warehouse, Niagra Water, Home Depot DC and a few other big warehouse facilities due south of the Den Intl Airport. All the trucks park along the street, there is no car traffic. Cops don't run you off. But there is nothing around the area. I always just bought paid parking at the Flying J in Aurora, CO. There is a Petro north of Denver on I-25, but the Flying J in Aurora is the closest if you come in on I-.70.

Reserve a spot at the closest TA, sooner rather than later.
Parking in that area is bad, so cover your backside.LTL Bull Thanks this. -
Exit 205? That's Silverthorn. Up in the mountains?
Generally.... Denver, Commerce City, Aurora area. I'd suggest exiting Quebec St off i70. Stay on i70 to the left, right after the i270 turnoff to right. Just as you're coming up to i270. You'll see a Bass Pro Shop on the right. That is my focus for you. When you exit Quebec. Which is a right exit off i70. Take a right. You'll first see a Sap Bros to the left. Then up ahead is a T/A. You can pull in and get stuff at either. The Sapp Bros has an actual restaurant. I want you to stay to the right, going north on Quebec. The right lanes will veer off to a street (forget name) going right. Then immediately after that. Take a right. That road goes behind Bass Pro Shops. You can park all along there. You won't be far from two truck stops if you want anything.
Back in Bennett is a Loves. It's about 20 miles short of Denver.
Then there is the FlyingJ in Aurora. It's about 13 miles before the turn off for Quebec. Airport Blvd exit. Go south. Immediately on right. It's a jam packed mess. But the best coffee.Last edited: Apr 12, 2022

Shortly after this Covid thing they didn't let us use our own mugs for refills, so I bought a coffee maker that uses K-Cups.
That is the best coffee.
For over 2 years now, the truck stops have not sold me a single cup of coffee.austinmike Thanks this. -

When we were in town for a show we were at Crowne Plaza Den Tech Ctr , huge lot in the back great food !!
Get out of the truck and walk the lot out and don't tear the area up.Last edited: Apr 13, 2022
