You are not going to 12 volt anything before long without a good replacement policy that replaces burned out 12 volt appliances without questions.

We used pans from Petro and they had a polcy of replacing burned out 12 volt pans without question several times a year.

Put a inverter in the truck and toss a mr coffee on there and brew the #### thing in 10 minutes. That is what we did.

Hmmm probably what I'll do then. Looking for a 2000w inverter on the cheap. I'm in the poor house at the moment.

    Thanks

My small(5 cup 13$ Walmart) mr coffee only pulls around 680watts according to my killawatt meter. I used to run a similar one off a 1000watt inverter.

Burton for a 12v. Road pro products are garbage. But even with the Burton it'll take about 12/15 mins for one cup. You also need to make sure the 12v socket is completely clean or it will cause the fuse to blow in that plug on the cord and even melt into the socket( yes I've had it happen) oh and the fuse is a proprietary fuse from buton, can't by it off the shelf.

Just get ya a good Stanley thermos, go into the truck stop fill it with hot water from the spigot of the side of the coffee pot. Wait about 3 minutes pore it out ( preheat) fill' er back up and it will still be steaming hot in the am.
Then all you need is one of the cone coffee filter holders ( made by melitta ) and you can do pore overs. I did this for about year while in a truck with out an inverter.
Its simple, filter in holder, pore hot water over grounds. Wala fresh cup a Joe.
Just don't do it with that cheap garbage coffee like Folgers I doubt you would be happy with the results. You want to use a good baged coffee. Starbucks, petes or whatever.
Some grocerie store carry those melitta holders like Albertsons on the west coast.
I've never seen them at Wal-Mart but you can order on there site or you can go to any Starbucks and get a ceramic one for a hefty 19.95 Lol

Coffee pots eat a lot, you need an inverter with a minimum 850 peak for it to work even though a Mr coffee 5 cup is 650wts still need that 850 minimum, it's been awhile since I ran into that problem.
The pot will come and the plate will get hot but it won't draw water to drip. Every time it pulses to draw water up to drip it needs that peak from the inverter.

WOW why in the world would you spend all that money to make coffee when there is fresh hot coffee made in the truck stop get a thermos and be done. Get some exercised park out back and walk spend some money at the business that just provided you with a sleeping spot for the night. Really thought I heard it all stealing hot water to make coffee in the truck. Do you really make no money that you can't pay for a cup of coffee. You wonder why mom and pop truck stops go out of business you park there but spend no money there. Don't tell me it bad coffee almost all truck stops have very good coffee with five to six different type of coffee.
