I'm about to put all my stickers on my truck and get ready to hit the road. I searched the forums and couldn't find the answers I was looking for so thought I would ask. I know most companies over due it when it comes to decals and numbers on there trucks, so I'm wonder what is really required?
What I'm putting on and wanting to know if its enough or if I'm missing something.
Company name with City State MC# DOT# on both sides of sleeper
Unit Number on sides between door and hood. No front or rear locations
Annual Inspection sticker on back corner of sleeper
IfTA Stickers on doors
That's all I'm putting on, so my question is, am I required to have the fire extinguisher inside and all those stickers, or is that just optional.
Thanks

I have name both company and mine DOT KYU MC truck # IFTA
NO fire bottle no inspection sticker -
Company name, Dot #, truck #, city&state.
PFGiardino Thanks this. -
annual inspection goes on passenger glass. if you got one of the doors with window on bottom. that's a good place. or in the wing window section. at front of door window. lower corner.
don't know if there's a dedicated location as per regs. but in utah. passenger glass is where they've all been located. inside and not outside. -

I believe Colorado and some other states like the last 6 of the VIN to be posted on the right(passenger) side of the vehicle. Posting the last 8 makes it a little more convenient when filling out paperwork to get service done, or when the tech needs it. But if your looking to minimize the markings on your truck, I don't believe the FEDs require it.

Personally, I like to put the annual inspection decal on an interior door panel, out of the sun, weather, and road grime. By the fire extinguisher and reflective triangles if possible. That'd be the decal you get from a qualified technician who thoroughly inspects your truck, different than a level one dot. -
Couple years back /Oklahoma was pulling trucks in like crazy and checking their decals against the info on the registration.
I got popped for $175 fine as did hundreds of other truckers.
One guy had ABC Trucking Company on his doors but his reg said ABC Trucking INC and since it didn't match the info on hte doors, he got a $175 hit too. -
Yes and make sure you put US in front of DOT and #. I'm sure you know but DOT will write you up for that simple error.
