Over a week parked and cold weather, and now the battery doesn't have enough juice. Would it hurt my car battery if I give a boost from it? Thanks.

Nope will not hurt it, done it but may take a while to build up enough juice.

No, but you will likely need to leave it hooked up for quite a while to get those truck batteries charged up. (Leave your car running, don't shut it off). I would say, you will need to charge the truck at least half an hour, because you are likely charging 3 or 4 truck batteries up, right from dead. You can check your voltmeter in the truck from time to time to see how the charge is going, and leave the car hooked up and running when you try to spin the truck.

if the batteries are in good shape. and you have good cables and charging system. i've done it in 5 minutes. -10 and a shot of ether.

if your battery is in good shape. that's 500 amps. to get your truck going. but if you can. 2 cables would help a little faster. one cable also has a tendency to heat up. (if your truck is one that takes some cranking time). unless you got them really thick cables.

i've got 2 of the skinnier cables sold at harbor frieght on my truck. i've jump started 4 drivers so far in 2 years i've had the cables. after 10 minutes and no cranking. i jump inside the truck only to find out it's in gear. always fires up once in neutral.

    crazy drivers.

If the truck has a clutch, push it in. Sometimes a little less drag will help it turn over when the transmission oil is cold

Rev the car engine up to about 3500 rpms while your cranking the truck over.

The alternator has a built in voltage regulator. That's an old wives tale.
