If you are going to idle more than 30 min you should raise your RPM to 900, that’s per Detroit manual, I have a 2015 Coronado and i have every single manual that came with the truck, idling low not only damage your engine it also clug your aftertreatment filters, the best thing to do do is to invest in an APU.

at normal operating temperature when you stop after driving the oil pressure will drop to 16-17 psi and slowly will go up to 23-26 psi . at 1500 rpm it will be 45-55 psi depend on weather. my truck is 2012 with DD15 and the engine has latest oil pump and pickup tube O-rings.

My 2014 has Opti Idle that will only work at low idle. At high idle, 800 rpms, the truck keeps shutting down after about 5 minutes.
Did they fix the low rpm idle issue. And is it going to hurt my engine to idle around 500 rpm?

On idle it shows 10-12 psi and 37-42 psi at 1500 rpm at normal temperature. Usually Oil temperature remain at 225F. There is no engine check light on. Just had service done 3000 miles ago and put 10w30 dello engine oil. Truck is still under extended factory warranty, i am not sure if they cover this low oil pressure issue.
I tried 15w40 oil earlier but it didn’t show much difference in oil pressure. Usually dd15 has oil pressure of 50psi at 1500 rpm at normal temperature i think. Can anyone suggest what could be the problem for low oil pressure. Thanks in advance

it's low pressure as in 10 psi being warm oil, whats causing this is the oil pick up tubes have some oil rings they needa be replace with the oil sucker oil ring as well too and for 211 bucks more might as well put the oil pump too.
New oil, 5 o rings, oil pump, oil filter plus labor 200-300 shouldn't be more then 1000 bucks in labor parts and oil

Any mechanic knowledgeable on that engine can easily handle it.
Or if you’re adventurous you could do it yourself.
