DD15 just shut off on me Eng 1 fail 16 spn 157

Everything was fine then on the expressway then truck turns off, orange check engine light comes on and I get the Eng 1 Fail 16 Spn 157. The truck will not start and I cannot get the fuel pressure up, I've tried pumping the fuel with the thumb pump. It acted up about an hour ago when it hesitated to start, it has fuel about a quarter to half tank on the driver side and very low on the passenger side. What the hell?!! It says something about the limiting valve on the fuel rail and I close??

Would that be an issue with the fuel splitter?? I have noticed that fuel tends to jump around from one tank to another on different occasions

 

649,000 miles and I believe it is the original fuel filter
