Did they run an idle speed balance test? The injectors could be at the large end of OK to run.
How long has it been since the last overhead valve adjustment? If it’s been a while, when you have it done it could move your injectors into a new wear pattern and they fail in short order.
But if you’ve maintained the engine properly, the Idle speed balance test is good, and together engine sounds good (smooth through Idle to high RPM), don’t let them touch it.
With that many miles, you’ll not only have a 6 pack of injectors, but also, all the fuel lines and probably a high pressure fuel pump ibstalled new before your drive it out of there in 3 weeks.
For some reason I can’t find a shop clean enough that they can open up the fuel system, replace just the one part, and get the truck back to rolling in a timely manner.
The last 2 trucks I send to a Detroit certified center (for just oil leakes none the less) took 3-4weeks for them to get the trucks started again.
But if you need them you need them. -
They didn’t run the test
I was told DD recommends injectors to be done at 625k miles
And valve adj was done at 550k -
replace injectors if they are original. new injectors have updated components and perform much better. I have done mine at 780k.

If the old owner filled up with “good” fuel you have nothing to worried about it until you do the same. Injectors goes bad on DD15 because don’t get enough lubrications. Any fuel have any biodiesel blend can cause your fuel pump and injector issues.
Maybe old owner already change that injectors ...
