Does the filter just pull out once you get the top cover off? I can’t find anything holding it in, but it seems stuck in there really good yet. ACAB5CDD-7991-4DB5-8B63-121F401827A5.jpeg

Yes, just rock it a bit. Don’t twist it, there is a plastic protrusion on bottom that can break off.
Friend broke it off, couldn’t find it. Put on new filter. Later on the plastic piece plugged the fuel flow and truck stalled out of fuel.

    AModelCat and OldeSkool Thank this.

Thanks so much!!! I know there’s a piece that can break off on the oil filter too and damage the engine if you aren’t careful so I’m a bit paranoid. Thanks for your help.

The smaller final filter next to it is the exact same setup.

while you have the filters removed, good time to drain out the bowl if you are adept at re priming the motor.

    OldeSkool Thanks this.
