Had a new starter installed on my truck 2 months ago. Today it won’t crank. I’ve put the multimeter on the trigger wire on top of the solenoid and tested it, when ignition is turned it gets 11.8V but the starter doesn’t crank at all.

Also tried jumping the starter but probably with too small of a gauge wire…

What could cause the starter not to start if the grounds are good and the trigger wire is sending plenty of volts?

Just cause it's new doesn't mean it won't brake.
