It says online it takes 40Q of oil but I have 32 in the truck and it is saying full. Ran it for 30 mins. Oil pressure great checked it again and it still says it is full. Whats going on?

Freightliner opens in the morning. My best guess would be, all the old oil didn't drain out.

Nothing but a few drips a minute when I put the plug back in.

I looked in my book and it says 40.1 quarts with oil and filter change. Did you drain it when the oil was still hot?

Don't take offense to this, but are you using 5 quart jugs of oil thinking that they're gallon jugs? I have to ask only because 8 gallons is 32 quarts, but 8 5 quart jugs is 40 quarts.

    Nighthawk325 Thanks this.

Nope I checked that they a 4 quart, 1 gallon jugs. Dealer thinks we might have the wrong dip stick but that doesnt seem right because we check the oil on it all the time and it is always right on. Now it is over the stick with only 32 quarts. Doesnt seem right. Dealer said to add another gallon and run it and bring it to them for the next oil change. If it is Over full I dont like the idea of running around like that. They said it will not hurt it...
