Will be graduating tomorrow from the DCCC Truck Driver Training program. It's an 8 week course that provides you college credits for only $1200. The class takes place near the Mocksville, NC campus. The trainers and instructors are all top notch and the class provides a good many hours of on the road driving as well as plenty of practice maneuvering and backing on a large training yard. Several instructors are certified for CDL testing so all you do at the end of the class is take the certificate they give you to the DOT to get your CDL. It's certainly not for everyone and a few didn't make it all the way through our class but it is a great experience and the training provided is excellent. We had a good many recruiters come by looking for new drivers. I decided to go with Magnum so I'll be posting somewhere here eventually to tell how that ends up. If anyone lives near the Mocksville area and is interested in learning how to drive I highly recommend that you look into this program. I don't think it can be beat especially for the price. Looking forward to getting started on this new career and best of luck to anyone out there who is starting out in a Trucking program.
Davidson County Community College Truck Driver Training is a great place to start.

Yep outstanding school and quality for the dollars spent. I went there 3 years ago. Staff is on their game for sure. A bunch of companies around too that like their graduates. You make it 8 weeks there you're pretty well prepared to go out with a trainer.
Congrats on a good choice and for making it to the end. -
Johnston Community College was $1200 also. Great value for a great start to trucking.
Sampson Community College is LESS than $500!! http://www.sampsoncc.edu/cetruckdrivertraining3.aspwarrior81 Thanks this.
