Mine has no issue focusing on the road. I don't have a night vision camera but it does just fine at night. I have mine positioned where the wipers keep its view clear. I bought mine from videodashcsm, great guy. Get a class 10 card for faster write speed.

Got my DODF500LHD a couple weeks ago.

None of my PCs play the 1920x1080 30fps .mov files. I use VLC. I read where the processors are too weak. 4 year old duo core ain't cutting it. I can pause the video and scroll through and look at frames but that's it right now until I buy a new notebook. I think a i7QM processor and 8G of memory and 2G dedicated video might work for me!Last edited: Apr 3, 2013

I ended up going with DieselBoss for the camera.
He found the mount I needed and his help/efforts closed the deal for me.
I also had a spare 32GB SD card here that will work.
When I get it installed I will post photos and videos.
cetanediesel, Dieselboss, Ukumfe and 1 other person Thank this. -
I use the Diesel Boss DB4. Works great.

Seen a bunch of crazy happenings this winter; an accident or two and a few very near misses, but now that I have my dash cam all I get is people violating traffic laws. I guess that's a good thing.

No afraid not. It was at the blue tiger booth (you had two) And the two gentlemen working this booth had no clue what any of the specs were other than what was written on the box. I'm not saying you make a bad product. But at that time with the "Ferrari of cameras" rep speaking on your behalf it was a bad experience.
I searched out your booths in anticapation of buying a camera. Now I don't know what card was being represented in that video that was being shown but it was horrible. I've seen better video off cheap phone cameras. I hope that going forward you might actually view the footage your reps are showing people. And train them on there product there representing. -
Semi crazy: I have been looking at dashcams for a few days. I read the reviews and picked the same one that you bought. Are you still happy with your purchase? A dashcam is a difficult item to research. There are the orignals, knockoffs and knockoffs of the knockoffs. The Blue Tiger video is worse than some of the sub $50.00 cameras. That processor is not high end it is considered mid range. Some of these companies are simply reboxing cheap cameras and selling them at twice the price. I like the offerings from Diesel boss but not ready to spend thatmuch yet. I figure I will buy the unit that semi crazy has and then upgrade in the future

even a cheap dash cam is better than not having one at all...... mine was good enough to nail Schneider when he took my hood out when I was sleeping 2 months ago.
