And this is the system the FMCSA swears is making the roads safer and trying to mandate becomes standard.

I wonder, what year the dealers will get the recall parts? Then, how much longer, before getting a service appointment?

Going to be a massive debacle.

Kinda glad i passed on getting a brand new westy tbh. Heard the 22s are all but shop queens at this point and spend more time in max derate on the side of the road then on the road itself. Friend who works at the local westy also told me only and i quote brain dead mentaly challenged lemming with brain damage and a suicidal death wish would buy a 22 westernstar.

Well atleast the owners of those trucks can't be accused of drving the rates down .. hard to haul 2.00 pm loads when your new truck lives in the shop

    Siinman and JoeyJunk Thank this.

I have always believed that the whole Detroit Assurance nanny system was junk to start with(along with every Junkliner Crapcadia I ever drove). Hopefully, if their are any drivers out there that had a crash because of this defect, they sue the crap out of Junkliner.

Different system, but, I know of one ‘18 579 that was put into a jackknife, in the winter, because of an overreactive system. I had the same setup, in the same model year 579, and it overreacted to a bridge expansion joint, a couple weeks after the aforementioned crash. Apparently, it picked up the metal joint and assumed it was a vehicle. It put the truck/trailer into full ABS activation, slamming me against the seatbelt. I immediately jammed the accelerator to the floor to override the system. If I’d been on a slippery road, I’m not sure what the truck would’ve done. I don’t like these systems.

I hope you made a typo error
Because the 379 was just a Memory in 2018
