Dad chases nude boy from daughter's room with pipe

I have to side with the dad here. I have a teenage daughter and put in that position I am not sure what I would do. I know I would not think about it at the time and instinct would take over. I also remember when I was a teenage boy and I knew that there were certain things that would likely to cause me bodily harm and a girls dad was one of them....

 

LOL, yea, I think that boy should feel lucky it wasn't a shotgun!

 

I side with the Dad in this case. It is his job to protect his family, How was he to know if that boy was a friend or some perv.

 

Yanno, it had to be hard for the cops to arrest the dad. I know they were just doing their duty, but I imagine the conversation in the patrol car was something like this:

Cop1: I really hate to do this.

Dad: I understand.

Cop2: Good thing that boy wasn't at my house. Smallest weapon I have is a .38.

Cop1: Hell, if that had been me with that pipe, we would be calling in the coroner right now!

Cop2: You think it'd be any different in my house?!?

 

He's lucky he wasn't shot as an intruder/pervert.

They should give the dad a medal for showing restraint.

 

Yeah but you can imagine the boys parents will try to bring up a lawsuit. He's only a kid and just doing what teenagers do anyway. They should've just hiked it to the woods somewhere.

 

and the dad was just doing what dad's do... protecting his family.... Being butt naked in someone's house can be considered fearing for life and welfare of his family. I think if deadly force would have been used the dad could have beat it... the kid is lucky and the parents should be telling the boy you are lucky to be alive...

 

If it had been in Texas they would have given him a metal instead of bringing him up on charges.

I have a teenage daughter myself, the boy would not have gotten off with just a head wound if he had been in my house.
