Hello everyone
I’m planning on sending my truck to the body shop here soon and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what kind of steps these are. Also opinions on the look? I like the OG classic look. My truck currently has the full truck length bottom step (damaged) so thinking about taking those off, saving weight, and installing something like that if I can find them…. Thanks

I am currently doing same thing getting rid of fairings , you can look for international pro star battery box , looks 99% identical , i planned on using them on my kw but decided to go with pete 579 boxes
Pic for international battery box ...they are very cheap as well , under $300 for nearly new conditionAttached Files:

The bottom step is just a regular Freightliner step with brackets. The brackets are overpriced and pretty flimsy. The steps are usually sold by the foot. You can tell by the fender on that Truck, it used to have the full fairing step. They make different variations. There’s a short step that goes between the step and the fender. I’ve also seen full length steps without fairings. I made some heavy duty brackets out of 6” aluminum channel. Cut on an angle, for my Classic. Better and cheaper. I’m guessing you have the side boxes already. Those are nice boxes, on Coronados. Expensive too. Like to have them on my Classic. I kind of like the curved step, with the short step, running to the box step. Also like the before and after boxes on Coronados. I think the fairing looks great, till it’s damaged. Bad enough to have to fix a step or bracket. Fairings can get expensive. Look on the internet at Coronados, you’ll see all the different step combinations. You can buy the brackets now for my Classic, aftermarket. Not sure if they’re the same, the steps are different for sure. Coronados are much better. Maybe you can modify existing quarter fenders, or just replace them with SS ones. Forget where I saw the brackets, but much cheaper than Dealership. Maybe Raney’s, or 4 States. Be best if they match rear boxes. Other option would be all homemade brackets with steps of your choice, or all new aftermarket boxes. That’s real expensive though.
