Curry Ice and Coal - Carlinville,IL AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Are you a coal miner? I thought this was a Trucker's Forum??

 

I live in the neighborhood of this outfit.You can do better driver!I believe he is talking about how fun it is getting the frozen coal out of his bucket this time of year.

 

I see their trucks around Chicago all the time. Hope things get better for ya!

 

Hi, thanks for the post. I had just been looking at their website yesterday and noticed they had a training program for driving school graduates. I was interested in getting some experience in end dumps. Have you looked into Beelman? You need 2 yrs experience and a clean mvr i've been told.
Can you tell us more about Curry? How long have you worked there? Are other driver's having the same problem? How about their pnuematics division Lippold & Arnett?
I need to get some good training, i live in Highland , IL ...any advice would be much appreciated.

i thought only convicts worked for curry. and as far as beelman i talked to a guy who is currently going to trailer trucking school who said that a rep from beelman contacted him and told him that if he takes end dump training they will give him a job

 

I worked for them for about a year and a half...no problems. Except for very long hours and very little pay.

Then, i got into a cussing match with a mine employee and banned from the Crown mines....well...there went my job. I treated the company very professionally through it all and tried to get unemployment....that was my mistake.

Shows up on my DAC record that I abandoned my truck!!! I did no such thing. After being banned from that mine, I was told to take my truck back to the yard in Illiopolis, IL and park it. Was told the next day that I was fired.

I SHOULD have been fired....but, they lied on my DAC record to try to keep me from getting another job....and was told by other companies that they are talking smack about me!!! BTW....it worked for a while!!! but now making 13.80/hr. driving and home daily!!! Kiss my butt, Curry!!!!

 

Who you driving for now?
