Current Pilot Car Rates in the Southwest

    I am trying to figure out what the current rates are for pilot cars in the Southwest, say Texas to California.

    I'm not sure what went on here but....

    Generally the rates here from the Northwest to CA are $1.40 to 1.60 per mile. However, that can vary greatly with the company or person doing the piloting.

    I think a straight lead or chase is between 1.40 to 1.55. High pole is around 1.60 to 1.65. Overnight anywhere from $75 to $100. Those are what they are getting in the southeast anyhow. Occasionally you can get one for 1.35, but not often anymore.
