so i got my bosch hds 250 today hooked it up to check my sensors. All were reading the outside temp of 80(truck was cold) except the scr intake read 32 degrees. This makes me think the sensor is going out. Is this the sensor by the turbo? Or the one on the actual filter? Also this is also referred to as a NOX sensor? If it's the one by the turbo I was gonna try and do it myself. Rear one looks too hard for me to do. Peterbilt 389.

ESN or Model year?
The SCR intake temp is after the DPF and at the inlet of the SCR. Depending on the year it could be a stand alone sensor or if its newer it will have a sensor module with both SCR temps combined in a module. Da, you said X15. Its a EPA 17 and a combined module if so. All DPF and SCR temps are in one module. Its the spider looking one with 5 cables. Might have to roll the sytstem to get the probes out. As the sensor are long and sometimes they hit the brackets before they come all the way out.
Do you have any voltage faults logged or data erratic for that sensor?Last edited: Aug 23, 2020

Wiring checks are easy. Check for battery voltage and ground to the sensor. I ussualy load test with a healight just to make sure its nice and bright, not a green wire. Other 2 wires are datalink(green/yellow twisted). Should measure 60 ohms plus or minus 5, key off and powered down.pushbroom Thanks this.
