Hello, got a Celect Plus N14 on a 2000ish freightliner FLD. Dash gauge isn't showing any water temp, and when ringing out the signal line for the dash gauge it leads to an empty connector at the front top of the engine. The water temp sensor for the ecm (which is a smaller connector) is connected to the water temp sensor and reads fine for the ecm, but where should I give the signal for water temp to the dash gauge from? That connector was just zip-tied away and wasn't connected. Made artificial signal and dash gauge is in working order. Thanks in advance!

I've got a 97 FLD, its got an over temp switch in the thermostat housing going to the dash for the over temp buzzer and I think my gauge is fed by the ECM. How many wires do you have for that sensor?

It has two wires. Ihave a one wire sensor for over temp light, 2 wire for water temp to Ecm and another bigger 2 wire for the water temp gauge. That bigger connector is hanging and I do not know where to plug it in

Top of the thermostat housing according to the manual.

Unfortunately, that is the whole diagram, here's another one with all the sensors. The one you're looking for is the celect coolant temp in the top right.

    paramashchuk Thanks this.

Thanks for sending that. There was no sensor I could use for the dash gauge so I tapped off of the signal of the water temp sensor to the ecm

As a general note, you really shouldn't tee off of temp sensors. The resistance of the wire can effect the temperature readings and often time skews it lower. Teeing also opens up the opportunity for corrosion to form on the wires and break.

Yes sorry by tapping off I mean I had a voltage buffer to use to not mess with the original signal so basically it copies what the ecm sees without altering resistance. Wish there was an easier way though since the connector was there and nothing to connect it to
