    Here I have 2007 Volvo 780 with cummins engine.13sp
Originaly it had 500hp.I upgraded it to 550hp may be little more ,and maximum torque, according to a guy from diesel doctor out of Effingham,il,across Petro.
He said I will see mpg improvement.
Of course I feel more power with no mpg better, it is the same.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE ENGINE GET HOT LITTLE MORE THEN BEFORE IN THE SMALLEST HILLS.
WHEN REACH THE HILL EVEN ON FLAT ROADS WHEN I PUSH THE AXELERATOR TO MAX, THE ENGINE FAN TURNS ON FOR ABOUT 30SEC.I MEAN EVERY SINGLE TIME ,IT DONT METER WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE AND COLLANT TEMPERATURE ,EVERY TIME.
DO YOU THINK I SHOULD GET BACK TO THE OLD PARAMETERS 500HP MAY BE 475.
    DON'T REALY HAPPY WITH THIS.
    THANK YOU ALL.

Frankly if you own the truck you would of been better off taking it to a cummins dealer and having it done. There is more to turning up the power in a truck then just adjusting the HP, other parameters are affected.

If it's a factory 550 calibration, it's not for your engine. Your CPL should max out at 500 hp. 525-550 is a different CPL and I've seen trucks run hot when running calibrations for the wrong CPL.

It is possible that he did a custom tune, but if that's the case, you're on your own, I have no clue what he changed.

Please take the caps lock off, it's easier to read when it isn't all caps.

Your mistake was going to the diesel dr. I have an 05 ISX 500 CM870 CPL 8519 I had turned up to 550hp and 1850 ft/lbs and it runs good and pulls great and fuel mileage is much improved. No problems running hot at all. You need to get someone who knows what they are doing to program it the right way.

If you're not running EGR you should run cooler, hotter on exhaust but cooler on coolant. Your CPL to run a 550, has to match whatever 550 file he put in. If the Diesel Doctor hasn't altered the file with Calterm, then you have a stock file, with non matching CPL's. If the diesel doctor did alter the file and you're running hot, then he doesn't know what he's doing and you should have it changed. You can't just upgrade HP & torque on a ISX, there is a CPL for a reason. CPL stands for compatibility parts list.
In either scenario I posted it's obvious something isn't correct and you should have it changed.
