hey, got a cummins isb 6.7 on a yard goat, blowing black smoke and has no power, had a code for an egr valve, changed out the valve and the code is inactive now but same symptoms, black smoke and does not accelerate and begins to misfire and choke out if pedal is pressed, idles perfect however, no codes at all, turbo and vgt checked and working, downpipe opened so filters aren't plugged, on a cylinder cut out can hear and feel every cylinder cut in and out, same issue with the air filter and charge cooler cancelled, fuel filters changed, ecu swapped from another unit also, starts up fine with no smoke but chokes out and throws insane amounts of black smoke when given gas. dont know why theres no codes at all, fuel pressure looks fine and on the fuel pressure test pressure shoots up to 24000 and backs back down to 13000 which i believe is normal, at a loss as to what it could be, see video below, any ideas?

the intake manifold is open, the CAC is bypassed and its sucking in a lot of air with the engine running, no codes for manifold pressure either

Why isn't the CAC plumbed from the turbo to the intake? How would the engine get enough air to match the fuel?

Or soot packed intake and grid heater. Yard trucks tend to soot intake shut.

Intake seems to have a lot of suction but I’ll pull off the manifold and take a look

With no load it should rev up fine, no load parked doesn’t need boost, regardless it shouldn’t be throwing black smoke anyway

Guys used to fool the MAP sensor in order to make black smoke like you're describing. In neutral with the MAP sensor "fooled" they'd produce tons of smoke when revving the engine. I'd look at the MAP readings or swap a good sensor off another truck for the heck of it.
Figure out what the problem is and highschool kids would pay a fortune for a product that produces the same results, EPA won't be too thrilled...
