Cummins fault 1142

    It's for a bad injector. Mechanic replaced it with new Cummins injector. Code returned after a hour or so. Now they replaced engine harness. Same result. Code is back. Engine seems to be running fine. Any suggestions?

    Was the new injector reset with Insite after replacement? There are software revisions for these injector codes on certain engines. Is the software up to date?

    Is the code hard active and has it always been or does it just keep logging and show intermittent.

    If you haven’t, get it into a Cummins repair center or authorized dealer.

    Injector was calibrated. But both times the fault didn't come on until half a hour of driving. I don't understand that at all
