I have not driven a cmv in the southeast before, but recall someone saying pkwys are a no go for trucks. Looks like the Louie b Nunn/Cumberland Pkwy is my best route to London, KY coming from the I65. GPS says It's OK, but anyone know this stretch? Thanks.

I don't drive a big rig but I drive that road every day in a box truck and there are tons of 18 wheelers on it, so you're good. Welcome to southeastern kentucky.

Parkways are a no go for trucks in the Northeast, mainly Jersey and New York... You are fine in Kentucky

The Kentucky Parkway system is truck friendly. It's not like the parkway system in NY, NJ, CT etc. in the northeast. They are former turnpikes that Kentucky built to link the big cities in the state. When the bonds were paid, the tolls were lifted. They are all STAA marked routes.

If you ever have a delivery off one of those Kentucky Parkways and your directions tell you to exit like 20 miles before your town and you think that surely its a mistake and you'll just go up because surely there will be a closer exit. There won't be, exits can be few and far between on those Parkways.

    I live in Kentucky.

I love that they called them parkways. Keeps the immigrants away.

All of em are essentially split 2 lane "intrastate highways" with exits in a state with no population outside Lexington bowling green or Louisville.

Some of the best roads to drive.

I took the parkways to the rocknroll highway every time running Detroit to Laredo. I65 was a freaking mess thru Indiana & Kentucky the past couple years. Still is actually.
