Without getting into a debate about the merits/bad things about Cruise Control I have a question.
I recently got hired on at Covenant Transport and I will be driving a 2015 Freighliner Cascadia with a manual transmission. My question is, do the manual transmissions on these trucks have Cruise Control?

Manual transmission trucks can have cruise control.
CallMeTawanda and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
As long as its enabled in the ECM and it has controls for it, it will have it.

It will probably have cruise control. Although fair warning, it is not like cruise control on your car where you can just "set it and forget it". It'll still lug and require driver interference up large hills and/or mountains. Also on my Freightliner if I run the jake brake on, it'll keep it held back while goin down smaller hills. To a point. Especially when you get out west with 75k on don't expect it to hold 65 mph down some of (read: all) of those grades. Nor should you be rocketing down them that fast in the first place.

Oh I completely get that thank you. I was Driving a 2017 Peterbilt with Auto Trans. The cruise control behaved much like you described.

Been driving OTR 22+ years, always manual, and every truck I've driven OTR had cruise. The only trucks I have driven that didn't was before my OTR days when I was driving for a local chicken plant, and 99% of their trucks were old mechanical engines (as in, built before computers ran things). The cruise control on those was your right foot and a heavy load.
