:biggrin_25513:Just when we thought it was safe to lease/purchase a truck again.....DIRTY DAVE has popped up with another scheme!! This time, the Owner of Wholesale Truck and Finance/Mountaineer Leasing has reinvented himself by teaming up with Crossroads Trucking of Oklahoma and created another business named Crossroads Recruiting, LLC and are advertising in the Truck Paper to get truckers into another trash truck!! Why you ask? Because tax season is rapidly approaching and the dirty dozen: Dirty Dave, Pinhead John, the Pretty little liar Jamie, and Devious Dominique would like to get their hands deep into your pockets.

This time they've lowered the deposit to $2500 but increased the rental payments frequency to weekly rates....to reel you in quick and drop you as fast as you've gotten the truck so they can flip it to another unexpecting trucker. Trust me, if their terrible payment terms don't get you, the mechanical issues will. They have GPS tracking devices on every truck and they will pick it up from the shop leaving you stranded! This is a loosing situation for any poor soul who decides to take their bait

The pictures you see on their phony website are not what you will lease! These guys buy wholesale trucks with numerous serious maintenance issues that they will pass on to you. Their add states, "3. Change your life!" You sure will, from bad to WORST!!

DON'T FALL FOR THEIR NEW SCHEME AND BECOME ANOTHER NUMBER ON THIER LONG LIST OF VICTIMS. TRUCKERS STAY AWAY!!

I personally have a friend who did lease a truck through them and he was very dissappointed in his leased vehicle. I was going to lease one myself, but after his experience, I wouldn't dare do business with these guys and I advise anyone else to avoid them as well!! They lured him in with a nice website with decent pictures of trucks and promised him financing. He was emailed a lease to sign stating that they "inspected" the truck for mechanical soundness (which they had not) and he was assigned a vin number taking his deposit from his checking account before he saw anything. The company promised both in writing on the website and over the phone that all their trucks were hand picked and inspected, given an oil analysis, and would be shampooed and detailed when you arrive and ready for work.

None of their promises regarding the truck was true. He asked me to go with him to pick up his vehicle and when we arrived, we went to a nasty abandoned looking building that had vagrants everywhere and there was a mechanic shop behind the building whose head mechanic resembled Kermit the Frog with a mustache and glasses who was "responsible for all the maintanance issues." The trucks looked horrible, some were being pieced together and they were discusting on the inside. They looked as if the driver just left the seat with filth all over the interior and dog piss and hairs everywhere. I honestly thought this was a joke, and I was waiting for someone with a camera to jump out and tell us it wasn't real. :biggrin_25513:But unfortunately for him it was ALL TOO REAL!! He'd already signed the contract and could not get his money back so he was forced to take it. He was warned that every truck has a GPS tracking device and they will come and take it if you "slip up."

Within less than 1 month, this guy spent out over $5000 in maintanence issues. I thank God I went with him before I "jumped at the opportunity" to lease a truck through these crooks. Unfortunately, shady places like this keep popping up and they will reinvent themselves when the heat is turned up on them. A lot of drivers began to complain about this company online via www.theripoffreport.com and other blogs like this one so they changed their name, and the lease terms (making them worse with weekly payments) in order to keep defrauding truckers.

Honestly, all of these lease outfits are the same. They are not designed for you to win. Please have an attorney read over all documents before you sign off on anything and give anybody money without visually seeing and inspecting the vehicle by a real certified mechanic.

A list of companies to stay away from are: Mountaineer Leasing/Wholesale Truck and Finance now "Crossroads Recruiting", Joyner Truck Sales (GA), Financing WWEL/LRM Leasing (Pompano Beach, FL), Gulfport/No Credit Check.com now American Truck Group (MS). I am positive the list will keep growing, I just pray no other truckers are added to the long list of these predatory company's current victims.
