Either 1099 or a solid chance to run an owner operator out of business.

JoeyJunk, LtlAnonymous and Brettj3876 Thank this.

There are alot of ads from the Chicago area. Is that area home to alot of so called shady companies?

Speaking of 1099 companies, is it always a good idea to avoid them? I mean as a company driver?

So if they're advertising $3000 to $4000/week, they're full of ####? In your opinion?

There is always a chance to try for couple of weeks and see for yourself, if time is non issue. I did couple of years ago drive for an owner for 4 months when was not sure what to do, yet money were needed. Made 40k in 4 months at .62 pm. 2 weeks out, one home cycle. Quit in a heart beat after owner refused to bump up 70mph limiter.. it was nerve stretching to pass someone.

PS: bought a truck, no limiter, so much pleasure.
