I got my windshield cracked by some rocks on the road, where do you usually get yours fixed at? The local mom and pop shops, the dealership or truck stops (if they do it there)? And whats a fair price for a windshield for a 2014 KW T660?

    Thanks guys.

Amy glass shop. Also, before you do it, check your insurance policy. Many have free glass replacement. I had to get three windshields in the last two years. All covered by my ins, no deductible.

I've had 4 windshield replacements 3 caused by unsecured flying parts from flatbeds & 1 poorly tarped dump truck.

I went to dealer and they paid for it every time whether it be thru their safety bonus job or own personal insurance.

Hate stupid lazy flatbedders who don't tiedown their crap.

There are a couple of guys who hang out on the cb around the Joplin,Mo. Petro. I watched they do and would have them put in a windshield for me if I needed one. Here in Akron I buy the glass from Ftlr. and there is a glass guy who comes to my shop and installs it. He charges $75 per side. If you tell people where you are or where you run it makes it easier to help you.

There is a company that comes to you most anywhere in the U.S. I believe the company name is Stride rite. You can call OOIDA at 816-229-5791 and ask them the name of the company. Even though they come to you, the price is comparable to going to a local glass shop. The nice thing about coming to you is that you don't have to worry about whether you can get the truck on their lot. They have replaced several windshields for me. I used to have their phone number, but lost it when my phone committed suicide in some water. But, OODIA can give you the number. They used to give a discount to OOIDA members.

If you have had a windshield damaged by something flying off a flatbed, you are getting way too close to them.

I've got a local glass guy that comes out and does one side of a 2-piece windshield for $100, a one-piece for $225. Long story short, I discovered them in a round-about way that got me to the glass dealer all those guys buy their glass from. I asked for the name/number of the guy that was buying the most big truck windshields from them, and that is who I call.
