it appears my air in fuel is coming from pick up tube in tank. took fuel line loose from tank & found black piece of plastic tube in brass elbow. a baffle must be broken cause I can hear something clanging around in tank. the dealer said they show no part to replace pick up tube. they have access to aftermarket replacement parts, but looking at my tank, the fitting is welded where the elbow goes in.the pick up tube does not come out that I can see. some say to have end cut off re weld baffle & put new tube in, or get another tank.
I do remember reading on hear years ago about intl having this problem with their tanks. cannot find a used tank locally & if I did it might have same problem, or soon develop it. any suggestions other than buying a new tank. 95 intl coe

Thats pretty much your options, cut the end off to fix or get a new tank. You'll probably find an aftermarket tank for cheaper than a good welder though.
TRP (Paccar) makes decent quality tanks for many makes. We've used them quite a bit since they are cheaper than OEM. http://www.trpparts.com/media/1005/trppffueltanks.pdf Measure it up and find a KW or Pete dealer. I've never got one for an international, but they're about $300 cheaper than Freightliner on most tanks. They make ones that fit our old FLD120's.heavyhaulerss Thanks this. -
You might find a pick-up tube that can be installed (as they use for Cab heaters)...
