I recently applied at cr england, the recruiter said my background was good...however i have had several misdemeanors 15 years ago, and 2 recent ones 8 years ago i listed everything however, i said i wasnt sure of the dates.
I then went to the usis,(which is now called hireright) website and got a copy of my report, they did a nationwide check and the only thing that shows up on it is the 2 recent misdemeanors and it also showed that cr england used them to do my background...will they use another service for background check when i get to orientation or do they just use the one they got
    thanks

They do better than that.... depending on where you go, there's an old retired FBI agent who asks you some questions, and he's literally a human lie detector. Several people were disqualified while I was there.

The best thing to do is to just be honest and look the guy in the eye.

Well, actually, the best thing to do is forget about working at CRE and choose another company, regardless of your background.

Yes. No, there's two, so use BOTH of your eyes to look into BOTH of his eyes.

Funny thing... I really freaked him out. I'm ex-USAF SP and have administered polygraph tests... and played with them with my buddies while we were training.

This guy didn't ask me if I smoked pot, if I ever smoked pot, did I do drugs, etc..... he asked "when was the last time you smoked marijuana?"

I immediately responded "Nov 17, 1981, I was en route to a Grand Funk concert in Houston, Texas, riding in my girlfriend's brother Kurt's 1977 Ford LTD.... it was gold with a black interior. His girlfriend Angie asked if my girlfriend, Karen, and I wanted to split a Mandrex, and we said no, that smoking a joint was fine. We arrived 10 minutes after the concert started... the girls were pissed... but it didn't matter, the convention hall was only 1/3 full... Grand Funk had passed its time of being really popular. Shall I continue?"

He said, with no humor at all... "no, that's fine, thanks. Call in the next person as you leave".

I have a wicked memory, and sometimes if turns out to be pretty fun.

Generally misdemeanors stay on your record I believe for only 7yrs depending on what they were. That maybe why the older ones don't show.

yeah i cant figure it out,,anyways i think i will apply at other places and just list the 2,,my guess is the background check the recruiter gets is the one they go by, ive heard the usis(hireright) is the best one out here, hell all they can do is send me home
