ONE SHOULD CHECK OUT HOW CONVENANT TRANSPORT ADDS UP YOUR PAY. I BELEAVE YOU WILL FIND OUT THAT YOU ARE DRIVING THERE TRUCK FOR LESS THAN 15 CENTS PER MILE. THEY ARE TAKING FROM YOUR PAY SOME OF THEIR OPERATIONAL COST, AND AT TIMES THEY ARE NOT PAYING YOU FOR THE TIME YOU ARE ON DUTY WORKING. lOOK HARD AT YOUR WEEKLY PAY CHECK REPORTS, IF YOU LOOK HARD ENOUGH YOU WILL SEE WHAT I AM TELLING YOU.

OK, you are shorted ACTUAL miles, as in, trip pays 1243 miles, but actual miles driven was 1312 for instance. All truck companies do this. You do do a lot of free work in this biz. Standing by, "favors" for dispatch, like shuttling a trailer to a shop or even picking up a pre-loaded trailer some where for a driver that can't get there before the shipper closes.

Why would you do that? If my trip was off by 70 miles I am not doing it:biggrin_25513: Favors are not free:biggrin_25516:

However the OP should provide some details of how he received 15 cents a mile.

That what I don't understand. We have the technology now. We know the exact mileage between point a and point b. We shouldn't evn need that rand Mcnally zip code stuff anymore. But we let em do it.

Very true. I was leased to star transportation almost a hole 3 months. They kept trying to take extra fuel out of my settlements that I never purchased and maintenance out from trailers I never pulled. I have a nice handy copier in my truck that I copied every reciept and bill. But needless to say I had to pull my lease. I heard that star used to be a great regional fleet until covenant bought them out. Alot of drivers that I talked to that has been there many years also said they made great money until covenant bought them.

Thank God for load percentage pay. I think all companies should get off this mileage crap, but that's just personal opinion. Since going on the percentage thing, I don't think I could ever look back.
