As a result of my previous thread, I have decided between these two trailers.
I'm leaning towards the Sun Valley because I have heard it is a true easy loader and can handle an extra car.
Not sure which one has a better build quality?
If anyone would like to throw their two cents in on this decision, I appreciate it thanks,

We have The Cottrell EZ-5307 on one of our trucks, Nice trailer, but having the ability to haul 8 with a high mount is very nice. You will find that there are times when it is slow or rates are down, having that extra car can make all the difference in the world. The adjustability on the CX-5308 makes it a perfect setup for the mixed loads (pickups, vans, suv's and cars) Our experience so far with car hauling is that the best equipment is the most versatile equipment. The upper deck on the 5308 can be lowered down to about 54" which allows us to haul the high top sprinter vans, plus put two cars in the front. Knowing what I know now, I would have stayed away from the 5307 and bought two 5308's. Just my .02.

I would be very leary of the sun valley. They do not stand up even close to the cottrell. They are expensive but if you plan to keep it for awhile and use it then stick with the cottrell. Have you looked at the 5309? I have 2 of them and they aren't much heavier than the 5307 and gives you options.. I would like to pull the shotgun deck out of them to save weight because in the last 3 years that deck has been used once or twice on 2 trailers combined.
Just for reference I have a 5307XL and a sun valley 6 car also.

I dont haul many cars. Most everything is SUVs or trucks. with the Sunvalley you get 3 trucks on top, 3 cars on bottom. I also have a 5309. I agree about the shotgun deck. I have never used mine, and it cost me about 3 inches in height at that position.

I would only do the cottrell. And based on experience level say 5307 for inexperienced only.

I say the 5309. The ability to load nine once a year is great. It also has the best 8 car versatility. The sun Valley 8 car is my second option. The 5308 is a beautiful trailer but very pricey and HEAVY. Whatever you do , don't buy a Wally Mo 8

Am guessing the op already made a decision? Just curious what are issues with the WM 8?

Everything aside, for the money the op has in the tractor. My vote is to sell it & buy a stinger. New 7/8/9 car high mounts & newer tractors are pretty spendy. They are tail heavy & too many restrictions via length pending which (most) States one plans to operate in.

Wally mo 8........The approach to the belly position is way too steep. Will scrape the bumpers of most cars without using wood boards. The poop deck on the 5th wheel is very hard to load. have to load halfway then get out and move #2 deck for a steeper load angle.

I can only say if you buy a sun valley be very anal about everything including that holes in the decking are not blocked by supports behind the decking the quality is not so good but it's light weight and can not fit anything more than 8- 192 inch cars. If the back of the belly lowered it would be very helpful because you really can't back in anything taller than a car into the second spot in the belly if you have any trucks or suv on top.
