10k and up depending .....you doing hydraulic ?
How much stuff needs to be moved..?HauntedSchizo19 Thanks this. -
Hydraulic driven system; pto, driveshaft and pump; stainless steel pump? Too many setups to determine a benchmark
-
Hydraulics would probably be the best option for that setup, I was looking at the MH1. Is that the MH3 you have? Also, what pump are you using?
As far as I can tell, nothing has to be moved. -
It all comes down to how much hyd oil flow you have per minute and at what pressure if you need a 1 or 3.
Make sure someone who knows what their doing does the engineering on it.....
I've got a 3" blackmer thb with brass veins . It's just ok. I'd recommend a big 3" roper if your pumping a lot. If not get a regular 3" roper . And get a real one not a chinese knock off.....
I can recommend D&W diesel in Albany NY...

solitary_con and HauntedSchizo19 Thank this. -
A shop in the Chicago area charges between 10K and 12K for everything. Installed.
If I might make a suggestion, spring for the extra and get a drum, or rotatary compressor. It's also waaaayyyy faster than a V Compressor. Literally half the time to build pressuresolitary_con Thanks this. -
Hydraulic -or- PTO; either one needs to be set up right.
PTO speed for a pump is different than a compressor so a different gear ratio is needed.
Warning; your trans may not have the intermediate gear needed to drive the PTO inside the trans unless the original owner specified PTO capability you may not be able to mount a PTO...
Roper pumps are great, the Ranger knockoff seemed good too but I've been away for a while. Viking was popular in Canada. Blackmere is a good pump that is better for thin viscosity liquids.
Drum makes a good compressor but I'm still partial to Quincy. My Matlack Mack had a double size [Ross 4 cyl.] engine air compressor and you connected the airline to the dry air tank, but I don't know if they are available anymore. -
the right way.....4500

When getting the setup, something that you'll want to discuss with the installer is pto drive percentage. Altom uses a 200% pto. That way, they can run the hydraulics at an engine idle. Then use the hydraulic flow to fine tune the final, working pump rpm.
The 200 percentage reflects pto rpms vs engine speed. My pto is closer to 100%, so I have to rev it up pretty good, to equal the company trucks idle. Then, if needed, they can idle up the engine and get really fast pumping.
Just remember, the pto percentage is what determines final pump or compressor speed.Orange713 Thanks this. -
I got a quote from D&W for a 3" Roper with a T pipe and all of the PTO installation last month. Came in around $4100. That was with a 2 piece shaft and carrier bearing.
