STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have over 5yrs OTR experience and I’ve worked at a couple different companies and this is by far the worst!!! The former regional manager was sleeping with 2 of the female drivers, one of them was on the Jet team (I found out about this from Brian while he was gossiping on the phone with his boyfriends). Jet loads slow down during the summer and when they did he was making sure that she got more loads than the other drivers. The then company manager Nick D knew about this and did nothing about it until the former regional manager went on to “allegedly” _____ harass a young girl that was working in the office. The owners were afraid that she would sue them so they visited the office and promoted her fast.
Nick D (current regional manger) is still an unprofessional, piece off ______ just like the reviews on the other website said. Instead of rectifying the issues in the company he gossips about them and about the other employees to his buddies Brian S and Carlos M (both trainers at the company). During orientation he told us that if we had an issue with our trainers he would believe them over us because he knew them longer. I believed him because on Friday evenings these grown, middle aged males get together to smoke cigars and gossip like teenage girls. According to Brian, Nick is the reason why most of the drivers do not stay with the company. No one at the company likes him except the two ___ kissers Brian and Carlos. He is running the company into the ground and I guess the owners are fine with that because they haven't done anything about it.
Brian spend 98% of the day on the phone either gossiping about the company and the other drivers with his boyfriends Carlos M, Ken and Luis or arguing with his wife. Brian (trainer) will be on the phone all day everyday whispering crap about you and calling you names, either in code or when you are out of ear range to his boyfriends Ken, Luis and Carlos every time you make the slightest mistake. I called him Denzel (not because he looks like him, he looks like Shrek) but because he is such a two face hypocritical liar and actor. He's all smiles to your face but behind your back he'll gossip and talk crap about you.
Whatever you do, do NOT let Carlos M train you and do NOT tell him your business no matter how insignificant it may seem, he is the gossip queen of Torrissi. I spent a week in training with him and one morning (around 2am) after loading up gas at Buckeye North he stopped Infront the train tracks and got out and stood by the cat walk and smoked next to a full tank of gas, not 25 ft away, hell not even 1 ft away. I did not report this because again his buddy Nick (Regional Safety Manager) said he would not believe any complaints the trainees had. Carlos trained a young Haitian guy and instead of correcting his trainees mistakes he video recorded him making the mistake and sent it to Brian and the others so he can talk crap about him. Carlos was also gloating that Larry (another trainer) kicks trainees out of his truck for dragging "his" hoses. These trainers are only interested in hazing the new employees, especially if they are young and inexperienced.
If you are ever on a call with anyone from this company, even the people in the office, just know that they either have you on speaker or added you to a conference call without you knowing. Trust me spare yourself and go to another company. I hope the company does get sold to WAWA and they do some house cleaning.
